Risk factors for post-endoscopic retrograde pancreatography pancreatitis in malignant extrahepatic biliary obstruction: a retrospective single-center study

چکیده
Background. Decompression interventions under the endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is method of choice in malignant extrahepatic biliary obstruction (MEHBO). Acute pancreatitis most common complication ERCP. Many studies have been performed to identify risk factors for post-ERCP (PEP). However, these works general include analysis ERCP patients with various causes without subdividing obstruction.
Purpose. The aim this study was determine PEP MEHBO.
Materials and Methods. A retrospective 100 cases MEHBO done. 2 patients, 14 had hyperamylasemia (HA). The following were analyzed: gender, age, level MEHBO, main pancreatic duct (MPD), total bilirubin level, history papillosphincterotomy (EPST), periampullary diverticulum, successful ERCP, primary selective cannulation, catheterization and/or contrast injection into MPD, Precut EPST, decompression.
Results discussion. Univariate showed that associated an at proximal middle third hepaticocholedochus (p = 0.004) absence MPD 0.022); female gender 0.012), < 0.001), 0.040) are or (HA); 0.024), (p=0.006), 0.035), decompression HA. Multivariate regression that, HA as well HA, 0.005; p 0.001; 0.001, respectively) 0.022; 0.008, respectively). Female a factor 0.011; 0.028, respectively), 0.04). Conclusion. Development depends on localization tumor involvement pancreas. obstruction.

OBJECTIVE Endosonography (EUS) performed prior to endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) or surgery in patients with a low to moderate probability of choledocholithiasis can reduce morbidity, mortality and costs. AIMS This study aimed at evaluating the sensitivity and specificity of EUS and transabdominal ultrasonography (TUS) compared to ERCP in a cohort of 100 patients diagno...

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES Pancreatitis is the most common complication of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Several patients´ or procedure related risk factors for post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) have been suggested. The aim of this study was to validate the risk factors for PEP in a high-volume center. METHODS All patients undergoing first time ERCP at a tertiary referral cente...

متن کاملPost-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis
Acute pancreatitis remains the most common complication of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). It is reported to occur in 2-10% of unselected patient samples and up to 40% of high-risk patients. The purpose of this article is to review the evidence behind the known risk factors for post-ERCP pancreatitis, as well as the technical and medical approaches developed to prevent it...
